Will World of Warcraft be steamrolled by EA/Mythic's Warhammer?

With the massive anticipation of EA/Mythic's Warhammer Online and the mega online player base of Blizzard's most famous World of Warcraft; acheiving 9 million players recently there has been much talk of World of Warcraft players saying their goodbyes to W.o.W. But along with yet another big anticipation for Blizzards release of World of Warcraft: Wrath of The Lich King to be released next year, hard to say... what's your bet?

I've never played it but i know people who do. It's like crack to them, hence the nicname "World of Warcrack" everbody uses. It's staying.

I don't know. But I got bored of WoW after about a year. It just wasn't fun anymore. So we stopped playing.

I love Warhammer, but I have to say that in the digital realm, WoW is dominant. It doesn't matter HOW good WH is, Because WoW jumped on the oppurtunity of MMO's right after Everquest(the only other mmo with a player base on the same scale as WoW), and WoW became dominant when, due to frequent game changes and class balance issues, people left, and seeing the only other game just like EQ, jumped on the WoW train. And thats why blizzard makes your yearly salary in seconds. :)

wow has been around for soo long that i don't think it's even posible to beet it. i meen the only game thats more popular than the pc/wow pair is the xbox/halo1,2,or 3 pair and when i say this i meen that the people who dont own an xbox or pc dont count

lol WOW will keep getting new subscribers everyday and keep it up.
I dont think any other game will surpass it for awhile anyway

Hmm don't see much on here about Final Fantasy XI which is infinitely more detailed in every way from graphics to envolvement with quests/missions etc. and with the wings of the goddess expansion, just got a whole lot better..... maybe you should check it out!

Even if Warhammer is is a better game, WoW will stay on top. It has a winning formula, great advertising and an enormous devout fan base.

I Use To Be Addicted To Wow (World Of Warcraft) Long Ago..... It Has That Effect Where If You Play It For More Then A Hour You Become Hooked And Unable To Get Out Of The Trance Till You Hit Max Level Which Would Be Lvl70 Then Everything Becomes Really Boring And Eventually Just Stop Playing... So Overall I Think World of Warcraft Will Remain The Dominant Pc Game Till At Least 2015..
