"The Dark Knight" sets box office record with $66.4M! Do you think it's because...

The Dark Knight set a one day box office record making $66.4M on opening day, surpassing last years record of $59.8M set by Spiderman 3. Do you think it's only because of Heath Ledger's passing? Or because the Batman franchise is on the rise?

	Everyone wants to see the last role of a fine actor.
	Batman is popular and would have made this money without Heath.
	Maybe it's a little of both? Right choice

It is very sad that someone so talented died doin somethin that he loved and he said himself that no amount of money changes what he does between action and cut and that he doesnt need money and never had it and was very happy without it. I dont believe any1 could have done a better job

Im sure it wouldhave been popular just not this popular this was the role that pushed heath over the edge and he was sleep deprived and accidently overdosed, everyone is gonna wanna see why this happened

Heath Ledger was a very popular actor and I believe his death attracted many to the Batman movie which unfortunately was his last movie. He will be missed and I believe that is the main reason it got so much attention on the opening of it. This is just my opinion so nobody get offended if you disagree.

I think more so on Heath's passing, even though BatMan had been popular in the past. I am interested to see his character because that was one reason for him taking sleeping pills, he was having nightmares about his role...

I think it wouild have been a gang buster even without Heath, although I truly think he was a very talented actor, loved his films, haven't seen this one yet, but I will. I love Batman, have since a very small child, a LONG time ago,lol...
