I agree, crocodiles have the strongest bite, only in the bite to body size ratio, tasmanian devils can be said to have the strongest bite. If talking of animal kingdom, it is still the crocodile which has the strongest bite. The formulation of the question is therefore not correct!!!

as some of you said, yes, the crocodile has the strongest bit but not related to its body size. i would suggest you read the question properly as it said "extremely strong jaws in relative to the body size.... "

This is straight from WIKIAnswers.com Read the last sentence Tasmanian devil has the strongest bite-to-body-size ratio, Alligators have the strongest bite (about 5,000 per square inch), but their jaws themselves are not very strong because they have almost no opening force. A human can easily hold an alligators jaws closed because all the strength happens when they close them. Finally, hyenas have the most strongest jaws, as they are able to easily crunch through hard bone without any damage to their teeth

and if I were bitten by both...a crocodile and a tasmaian devil...of curse i couls survive the tasmanian devil...but not crocodile....
i believe the crocodile should have won..

"FYI" The reptile with the most potent jaws alive today is the American alligator, crunching down at around 3,500 psi. Cheater21 go back to school please! Pit bulls are about 200PSI, no where near. A Tasmanian Devil has the strongest jaws PSI for it's small 20 pound size.

The question needs to be more specific. Crocodiles have the strongest bite force, but only when closing, not opening. However the Tasmanian Devil has the strongest bite-to-body size ratio. Again, the question isn't specific enough.
