Who will win the most gold medals at the 2008 Beijing olympics?

The olympics happen once every 4 years and competition is fierce. The 2004 olympics, held in Athens, Greece, was won by the USA taking home 36 gold medals and 102 in total, closely followed by China with 32 golds and 63 total. This year it is held in Beijing in China, so will being the host nation give a boost to the Chinese team? What's more their athletes are also used to the conditions. Congratulations to all the winners, commiserations to all the losers! China walked away with the medals this Olympics and to be fair USA didn't have a great games but I'm sure they will bounce back in 2012 in London! It's been overall a great games, with Micheal Phelps and Usain Bolt making history and records being broken now roll on London!

on Beijing2008 and they're harvesting Gold medals.they have 35 as at today against 32 in 2004.
